I would just like to take a second to wish Jerry Merriott and his family my deepest sympathies for the loss of his wife, Peggy. Jerry is one of our oldest players out in Falcon, and one of the first players I met. I met his wife only once, but Jerry talked about her all of the time. Again, I wish he and his family the best.

Local Woman Wins Big Opportunity.

J and K Poker, Colorado?s affiliate of the WPT Amature Poker Leage would like to announce: Rachel Young, a district 20 Preschool teacher wins a $10,000 seat at the WPT Sports Legends Challenge to be held at the Atlantis Hotel on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

Qualifying Period began April 1st, 2009 and continued thru July 31st, 2009. Two members qualified from each region of the United States. Youngs name was drawn from a pot of the members who earned the most points and the members that had the most wins in each region.

J and K Poker and WPTAPL host Free Live Texas Hold'em Tournaments at your favorite locations throughout the Colorado Springs allowing you to learn the game, test your poker skills against others in your area, and sharpen the skills you have already mastered.

Among others, Young will be competing against 25 of the world greatest Sports legends and 25 of the worlds best poker pros for the ultimate sports fantasy.

Young has been playing with the WPTAPL for less than two years and is a very accomplished competitor, for Young it is a family affair joined nightly by he her parents, her brother and even her grandmother.
